1. _I_n_t_r_o_d_u_c_t_i_o_n
These release notes describe Array Services in the Array
Services software release from Silicon Graphicsr, Inc.
Array Services consist of several tools and libraries for
managing and administering an array of two or more systems.
These services include:
+o Correlation of related processes running on multiple
nodes for job control, accounting, performance
monitoring, and so on.
+o A configuration database containing information about
the individual nodes in one or more arrays
+o Array commands are commands that can be distributed
among all of the nodes in an array.
+o ArrayView, a simple graphical tool that monitors all of
the machines in an array.
Note: Packaged with your software is a separate sheet that
contains the Software License Agreement. This
software is provided to you solely under the terms
and conditions of the Software License Agreement.

1.2 _O_n_l_i_n_e__R_e_l_e_a_s_e__N_o_t_e_s__f_o_r__I_R_I_X
After you install the online release notes for a product
(the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s subsystem), you can view the release notes on
your screen.
Note: You can read the online release notes for most
products before installing the software. Refer to
the booklet in your CD-ROM case for more information.
If you have a graphics system, select ``Release Notes'' from
the Help submenu of the Toolchest. This displays the
_g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) graphical browser for the online release notes.
Refer to the _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for information on
options to this command.
If you do not have a graphics system, you can use the
_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s command. Refer to the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for
accessing the online release notes.
1.3 _O_n_l_i_n_e__R_e_l_e_a_s_e__N_o_t_e_s__f_o_r__L_i_n_u_x
After you install the arraysvcs rpm, you can view the README
file containing the relnotes in a file name similar to
/usr/share/doc/arraysvcs-3.6-1/README.relnotes. There is
also information on where to find relnotes documentation in
the description section of the rpm. To view this, type
"rpm -qi sgi-arraysvcs".
